As the year winds to a close, Charleston is making more lists and garnering more media coverage. Of course our favorite is always “best city in the United States,” but sometimes the Holy City finds herself on some other fun lists.
Travel + Leisure magazine ranked Charleston No. 7 on its list of America’s Best Cities for Hipsters. Charleston made the list for, as the magazine noted, “walking the line between old-fashioned and old-school.”
The popular travel magazine also put Charleston on its list of America’s Most Charming Accents. And we do declare No. 3 is a mighty fine showing for our city.
The New York Times offered up its picks for spending 36 hours in Charleston. The publication highlighted shopping the Charleston City Market, dining at restaurants like Husk, Two Boroughs Larder, Fuel Cantina and Halls Chophouse as well as sightseeing at Boone Hall Plantation, Shem Creek and Mount Pleasant Waterfront Park.
We’re thinking of creating our own 36 hours in Charleston – what would you put on the list?
