Step into a tranquil oasis with our May Featured Artist Exhibition, “Feathered Friends and Peaceful Places” featuring the exquisite oil paintings of award-winning artist, Alice Dobbin. Join us for the opening reception during the Charleston Gallery Association’s Art Walk on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 5-8 P.M. The artist will be in attendance and light refreshments will be served.
Dobbin’s latest collection transports viewers to serene landscapes, where the beauty of nature unfolds in every stroke. Majestic birds, from graceful egrets to colorful spoonbills, take center stage in her soft and lyrical paintings. The artist’s masterful use of light and shadow brings these scenes to life, evoking a sense of peace and harmony. Whether it’s a morning sunrise on the beach or a sunlit marsh alive with the flutter of wings, Dobbin’s paintings celebrate the beauty and serenity of the natural world.
Alice Dobbin has been drawing and painting since she was old enough to hold a pencil. For the past 30 years she has been a professional artist and has authored two books.
