Mt. Pleasant’s Old Village
House & Garden Tours take place from 2 – 5 PM on Saturday afternoons and feature a unique set of 6-8 properties in a different neighborhood each weekend. Enjoy a self-guided tour, going from site to site at your leisure, where our volunteer docents are stationed to share knowledge about the history, architecture, and landscapes.
Nestled across the bridge along the Charleston Harbor, the Old Village of Mount Pleasant is a storied coastal community that predates the town itself, with roots stretching back to native Sewee lands and early colonial settlements. Explore tree-lined streets, historic homes, and harbor views that reflect the neighborhood’s evolution from plantation land and old ferry hubs to Charleston’s historic district.
