Capers Wildlife Exploration Eco Tour

Naturalist-guided Excursions Exploring Capers Island

Tour Description

This fun 3.5 hour excursion takes place on beautiful Capers Island, an isolated beautiful barrier island which is only accessible by boat and a three mile trip from the Isle of Palms. The island is three miles in length and encompasses 850 acres of unspoiled island wilderness to be explored. Some highlights of the tour include Bone Yard Beach, which are old tree skeletons and stumps left as a result of erosion that are bleached out by the sun. Wildlife present on the island: alligators, deer, raccoons and loggerhead sea turtles – birds such as herons, egrets, ibises and many other waterfowl species.
