Recovery Jam Charleston

Recovery Jam is moving to a larger venue and ,with it, bringing in multiple sober musicians to perform at their annual benefit concert. Tickets are now on sale for the sixth-annual event happening on April 12, 2025, at The Refinery.

The annual music and arts festival has a vision for a thriving community where people are unified by the healing power of music and art. By showcasing the talents of self-supporting sober artists and highlighting other non-profits addressing substance use disorders in our community, they aim to amplify a message of hope that recovery is not only possible but also transformative.

Alongside several Lowcountry visual artists who will exhibit during the event’s gallery hours, Recovery Jam is proud to announce Swedish-born guitarist Anders Osborne as this year’s headlining act. In 2024, he released his 17th studio album and is widely recognized for his roots rock music and evocative songwriting. His critically acclaimed albums, such as American Patchwork and Coming Down, have cemented his legacy as a powerhouse in the contemporary blues and roots music genre. Osborne has been in a twelve-step recovery program for more than fifteen years and uses his own experiences to inspire others. He works closely with Send Me a Friend, an organization that supports newly sober musicians getting back to work again by matchmaking them with a network of sober “friends” wherever the road may take them.

Joining Osborne as opening acts are several other artists in recovery, including Charleston-based spoken word artist, Christian Morant, up-and-coming Nashville country artist, Brian Fuller, and GRAMMY® Award-winning soul artist, Mike Farris.

Recovery Jam’s philanthropic arm is to support other area nonprofits working in the field of substance use disorders. This year, six local nonprofits applied to be the designated beneficiary of Recovery Jam. The application process was extensive, requiring recommendation letters, need statements, program goals, and operating budgets. This year’s selected recipient is Step 1 Recovery Resources, a Charleston-based organization that is dedicated to getting individuals who desperately want help into long-term treatment centers so they can rejoin society with dignity and sobriety.

Since its inception, Recovery Jam has proudly donated nearly $20,000 to support life-changing initiatives. Most recently, a donation to Wake Up Carolina helped cover the admittance fees for nine individuals to join long-term treatment centers, giving them a vital opportunity to embark on their journey toward recovery and a brighter future.

The event will be held April 12, 2025, from 7-11 pm at The Refinery, Charleston’s only outdoor amphitheater located in downtown Charleston. You can learn more about the event and sponsorship opportunities by visiting www.recoveryjamchs.org.
