Hardly a week goes by that Charleston – at least in some form – isn’t making the news. Our fair city graces the pages of many travel magazines, websites and blogs. If we’re not careful, we might start to get a big head.
Here are a few articles that caught our attention recently:
“Charmed by Charleston” on GoWorldTravel.com: “Charleston, it seemed to me, was a grand old colonial lady. Although she had aged a bit, she still held her head up high, clinging to her genteel manners and refined elegance. I was just beginning to appreciate her southern ways.”
And this piece gives plug to some favorite spots: South Carolina Aquarium, USS Yorktown, Coastal Expedition tours and the swings on the pier at Waterfront Park.
“Cool Inside: Hank’s Seafood Restaurant” in Coastal Living: This piece gives a plug for a new cookbook by Hank’s Executive Chef Frank McMahon. Look for more than 100 of McMahon’s recipes plus some history of Hank’s Seafood.
“Yum: The South’s best artisan ice creams” in USA Today: In this piece, Roots Ice Cream gets a plug. “Beet, butterscotch bourbon, sweet pea sorbet and more original flavors are turned out at this small creamery, which uses local milk and produce.”
Have you seen Charleston mentioned in the media lately? Let us know! It’s tough to keep up with all this fame!
