Happy New Year Charleston: 4-10:30 p.m. in Marion Square. A non-alcoholic and family-oriented way to celebrate the New Year in Charleston. With free admission, guests enjoy comedy, African dancing, many forms of music including classical, gospel and jazz, children’s activities and more.
Masquerade Count Down Package: Plan to celebrate and spend the night at Middleton Place Inn. The package includes accommodations for two nights, tickets to the NYE Masquerade Count Down from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., complimentary drinks, hors d’oeuvres, ice sculpture and photo booth. Guests also receive gift bags and a pair of The Inn’s etched champagne flutes with a new oak tree design. Rose Ball: 9 p.m. at the Johnson Hagood Stadium, home of the Citadel Bulldogs. Guests will enjoy a fashionably upscale New Year’s Eve ball inside the venue until 2 a.m., with all-inclusive, light hors d’oeuvres and bar service, DJ Cato K from Miami, The Dubplates Band, DJ D-Nyce, Quiana Parler and more. Charleston Wonderland: 8:30 p.m. at Memminger Auditorium. The event includes a top-shelf open bar plus a champagne toast at midnight, heavy hors d’oeuvres music by Sonic Groove, acrobats, fire performers and aerialists.
